Cream Ale is an historic style dating back to the 19th century. Brewed as an ale, these pale colored, brilliantly clear beers are designed to drink like lagers. Our version features 12.5% flaked corn in the grist, adding a touch of sweetness while helping to dry out the finish of the sip. The best part? All of the corn came from Illinois’s own Iroquois County.

Two of our favorite hops slammed together in our flagship American Pale Ale recipe. The bitterness is old school in its assertiveness, but the newer age hops bring tropical fruit aromas to the forefront to balance that old school feel.

Tmavé Pivo in Czech means dark beer and we produced a beautiful dark beer with ruby undertones. The flavor is loaded with caramel, raisin, and coffee notes, all while having a dry finish. Pair it with one of our locally sourced oysters.

A Weizenbock is a strong, dark wheat beer originating from Bavaria, Germany. This unique style boasts a deep amber color and a complex flavor profile. Expect a robust malt character with prominent notes of banana and clove, reminiscent of classic Hefeweizens, but amplified due to the higher alcohol content. The sweetness of the malt is balanced by subtle hints of caramel and a warming alcohol presence.

To celebrate the Year of the Snake, we created a light lager brewed with black rice and calamansi puree. The finished beer has a beautiful peach hue and a bright, citrus aroma.

This limited-edition beer celebrates the rich global history of Guinness, blending our Irish heritage with the vibrancy of African culture and the creative spirit of Brooklyn Brewery brewmaster, Garrett Oliver. Together, we dive into new ingredients, highlighting Fonio, an ancient West African grain that lends the robust flavors of white wine and lychee fruit to this bold and lively stout.

Irish Breakfast Tea Amber always heralds the arrival of St. Patrick's Day at the OGB. The idea for this beer comes from a story shared with our brewing team by an Irish bartender - he recalled the smell of the beer brewing at St. James's Gate in Dublin mixing with the smell of his grandmother's tea steeping in the kettle. Enter Irish Breakfast Tea Amber - an amber ale base with Loral and El Dorado hops for a touch of lemony citrus and steeped Irish Breakfast Tea for a drying, earthy kick. A delicious, seasonal favorite.

Our Clover Honey Ale has become an annual tradition at the Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, so we are continuing the tradition for our first St. Patrick's Day in Chicago. This golden ale is brewed using honey from Apex Bee Company located on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Honey is a simple sugar, meaning it is fully fermented by our yeast. The result is a dry, quenching beer with just a touch of lingering sweetness on the palate.

This collaborative brew, crafted by Solemn Oath Brewery and Hidden Hand Brewery, delivers bright citrus and pine notes from Citra and Simcoe hops. Our Valentine's Day stout, Raspberry Noir, is a rich and decadent blend of raspberries, chocolate, and vanilla. The juicy tartness of raspberries shines through while subtle chocolate and vanilla undertones round out the flavor.

This IPA features a blend of Strata and Galaxy hop varieties. The Galaxy hops contribute distinct notes of passionfruit and citrus, particularly tangerine. The Strata hops introduce tropical fruit character and some underlying dankness. This combination results in a complex and aromatic IPA with a balanced bitterness.
